"Callanish Standing Stones" Original Available On the isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland there is located a magnificent cross shaped stone circle. The Callanish standing stones erected around 2000 BC, are one of the most spectacular megalithic monuments in Scotland. The gorgeous setting and individual “personalities” of the stones delighted and inspired me. The thistle is Scotland’s national emblem with a story all its
own. The Celtic knotted hearts are here meant to symbolize the continuity
of love entwined that has no beginning and no end.
